Testberichte.de

Client Testberichte.de is a German comparison portal that helps people make informed purchasing decisions by aggregating and standardising results from hundreds of professional test magazines, expert reviews, user opinions and product data into easy-to-understand scores, rankings and guides. It positions itself as independent and neutral, stressing that assessments are criteria-based rather than subjective. In terms of values, it highlights transparency, expertise and consumer loyalty—aiming to be trustworthy and comprehensible while keeping editorial judgement separate from commercial influence.
Goal Altough Testberichte.de has had an online presence for the last 20 years, their users are lacking brand awareness and therefore Testberichte did not experience growth and returning users as expected.

Making product data comprehensible

The data for individual products, that Testberichte.de provides reviews for, was always presented in a raw manner – illegible for the average user. In order to make this data more meaningful, we developed a data sheet that includes the key attributes of a given product, that includes an assessment if the property is good, bad or average (red, green, yellow). More detailed information on this score is provided when hovering over the icon.
